Locally-Sourced Days Out
Occasional afternoons from the Hull venue is a regional collecting expedition for ‘locally-sourced’ ingredients for the week of baking ahead.
There’s a degree of predictability to this process: a run to the flour mill or local stone-ground flour provider, to the dairy for whole non-homogenized milk, and farm shops for free range eggs.
Ingredient collecting is followed with a cup of tea (and sometimes a piece of cake) at a garden centre or tearoom.
