Locally-Sourced Days Out

Monday afternoons from the Hull venue are a regional collecting expedition for ‘locally-sourced’ ingredients for the week of baking ahead.

There’s a degree of stability to this process: a run to the flour mill or local stone-ground flour provider, to the dairy for whole non-homogenized milk, and farm shops for free range eggs.

Ingredient collecting is followed with a cup of tea (and sometimes a piece of cake) at a garden centre or tearoom.
